SECOND GENERATION

Joshua PILOT was born about 1712 in Ireland. He died in 1772. He was a Physician in Portarlington and served as an Army Surgeon with Batereau's 63rd Regiment of Foot at the battle of Culloden. He was discharged on British half pay at disbandment on 25 Dec 1748. Records in the Registry of Deeds, Dublin, and contemporary letters, show that he owned property and land in Portarlington and was involved in the importation of goods from the continent. He lived in Kilmalogue House, Portarlington.
He married Esther Judith de CHIZADOUR de BETTE (daughter of Pierre de CHIZADOUR de BETTE and Dame Marie Henriette de QUESTEBRUNE) in 1734. Esther Judith de CHIZADOUR de BETTE was born in Portarlington, Co. Laois, Ireland and was baptised on 28 Sep 1709 in the French Church, Portarlington. She died on 8 Jan 1759 in Portarlington.

Joshua PILOT and Esther Judith de CHIZADOUR de BETTE had the following children:

He also married Jane HAMON (daughter of Hector HAMON ) in 1761. Jane HAMON was born in Dublin, Ireland. Joshua PILOT and Jane HAMON had the following children:
